Sometimes Asked Questions

Yeah, but do you like bikes?

I do in fact like bikes, why do you ask? I've enjoyed bicycles for some time now and I also enjoy making all sorts of things and taking on ridiculous projects. When those things end up also being functional it makes me happy. Each bike is a little bit different from the last and I like exploring the new ideas that people come up with as we talk about what they want their bike to be.

So, Are your bikes rideable?

Yes they are very rideable. The first bike I built for someone other than myself was in 2013 and is still being used as a daily commuter in Denver. Another customer has already ridden his Patton (that gorgeous purple bike) from Chicago to Florida and is now heading west to California. I currently ride and race one my own bikes in cyclocross and gravel races. You can ride them if you want.

Are you Like, a professional BIcycle Frame BuildeR?

Professional as in this is my day job? No, I am a manufacturing engineer during the day. Professional as in I spend a lot of time on each frame to make sure every little detail is just how it should be before I let anyone ride the bike, Yes! I am a smaller builder so this isn't what I do day in and day out, but I have been doing this for a while and I believe a make a pretty darn good product.

What's in it for me?

A custom bicycle frame isn't for everyone and I know that. I'm here for the person who wants something unique that has every bit and bob added to make a bike that they will dream about and cherish for a long time. I try to be as open as possible about the progress and timeline during your frames build so that you know exactly how things are going. I want this the experience to be as enjoyable for you as it is for me so that you can totally freak out when you get your bike.
